The Jefferson County Commission is soliciting to provide hotel accommodations (including all services/amenities listed below) for individuals traveling to Birmingham to provide services for the Jefferson County Commission. The Jefferson County Commission projects to require hotel stay for approximately 300 individuals for a total of approximately 1500 nightly stays annually. However, no minimum number of individuals or nightly stays will be guaranteed by the Jefferson County Commission for the initial contract or any renewal option years. Contractors submitting bids must provide a flat charge for a nightly stay. Contractor must also be able to provide each of the services/amenities listed below and must specify any additional charges per night for any of these additional services/amenities. A. Contractor must supply breakfast for all individuals requiring hotel stay under the Jefferson County contract. In the submitted bid, the vendor must provide a description of the type of breakfast to be provided and any additional charge per person beyond the charge for the nightly stay. B. Contractor must supply valet parking for all individuals arriving to the hotel by automobile. C. Contractor must supply transportation to and from the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport for any individuals flying into Birmingham requiring hotel stay under the County contract. The transportation provided shall be at no cost to the individuals. D. Contractor must provide accommodations at the hotel address listed in the bid and contractor may not subcontract with another hotel for accommodations without express written consent of the County received in advance of the stay. If a subcontract with another hotel is approved by the County, transportation to and from the Courthouse and/or the 2121 Building must be provided as needed at no additional cost. E. Contractor must provide all individuals staying at the hotel under the Jefferson County Commission contract access to an on-site fitness center or access to off-site fitness center within ¼ mile of the hotel. F. Contractor must provide in-room internet access (wireless or ethernet) for individuals staying at the hotel under the County contract.
