Birmingham City Schools is a public school district that provides special education and related services for students K-12 identified under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. To ensure that the district provides research-based education and services to meet their individual needs, Birmingham City Schools proposes to contract with a company to provide and create therapeutic day school programs to support and provide personalized educational services for non-traditional learners supported by evidence-based practices and services. These services include providing a Therapeutic Day Program for up to 50 students but not limited to grades K-12 with emotional/behavioral and related disabilities. Students would be served at a mutually agreeable, centralized location provided by the District. These services will include a Program manager, Special Education services, BCBA, RBT, Mental Health services, instructional and behavioral aides. The district will award one vendor for this service.
