Specifications include, but are not limited to:The City of Tuscaloosa, under the administration of Mayor Walter Maddox, has adopted astandardofexcellencewhichstatesth a t w e w i l l b e c o m e “ t h e m o s t i n n o v a t i v e a n d efficiently managed city in the country”. Although this is a lofty goal, it is one that each City Department and staff member operates under each day and as such, this standard defines the broad goal of this project. We desire to create a website which illustrates and supports this standard and which serves as a functional web presence for the delivery of government to our citizens and visitors. With this central goal in mind, the following broad statements are expected to be addressed within this project: A website built with a responsive design, capable of adapting to a wide range of devices and functional within current web browsers Provide a flexible framework capable of providing a range of options for presenting information, news and services Ease of use by site visitors and ease of use for City staff to maintain Provision of a human-centered design which site visitors can use to find information and services without respect to which City department or agency provides the service Enhance our Standard of Excellence and foster a transparent and collaborative government
