The Alabama Space Science Exhibit Commission DBA U.S. Space & Rocket Center seeks sealed proposal bids immediate need for Website Maintenance and Development Support.
Our web redesign project was driven and influenced by several factors including:
• A need to upgrade to a more current version of Drupal.
• Changing server providers.
• Addressing ADA compliance issues.
• Modifications necessary for Alabama regulatory requirements
• An ongoing effort to bring Rocket Center and Space Camp brands together from both domains.
• Maintain the website's compliance with the current version of Drupal and security protocols.
• Periodic review and updates to Drupal, modules to the latest version available on the market.
• Data security and privacy
• Drupal user training support
• Develop and implement additional web pages for new Rocket Center activities
• Implement minor changes to existing web pages such as date, activity, and pricing changes
• Content related requests for the site
• Webpage SEO related updates and enhancements
• 24/7 site support for any downtime issues
The awarded vendor will be required to access our current website and recommend adjustments to the site as needed for Alabama ADA compliance. Define estimated hours of development and training support available. Outlining procedures for contacting USSRC for maintenance and development requests as well as testing protocols before implementing change to the website.
Sealed formal bids must be submitted on Vendor Letter Head. Additional documents required will be a detailed bid summary sheet, Complete details on how our bid will meet all aspects of requirements, and Company W9 form.
Sealed proposals will be received in person by the Alabama Space Science Exhibit Commission d/b/a U.S. Space and Rocket Center at the office of Sam Mitchell, Director of Procurement, at any time until Tuesday 10/10/23 at 2:00pm CST. At which time, each seal bid will be publicly opened and read into the record at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, ETF Building Room #109, One Tranquility Base, Huntsville, Al 35805

Bids received after 2:00 p.m. on the opening date will not be considered.
