Description

The Fairbanks North Star Borough (Borough) and its component units, the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District (School District), and Interior Gas Utility (IGU), each require a “full-scope” audit in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS) and with generally accepted government auditing standards (GAGAS). Furthermore, a federal single audit (Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance)) and a state single audit (State of Alaska Audit Guide and Compliance Supplement for State Single Audits) are required for the Borough and for the School District.
