Specifications include, but are not limited to: The performance of the Behavioral Health Organization (BHO) vendor, also referred to as the Contractor, will be critical in assisting DBH partner in fully implementing and realizing the services available under the Alaska Substance Use Disorder and Behavioral Health Program Medicaid Section 1115 Demonstration Waiver. The behavioral health organization will: • Develop regional Medicaid provider capacity to promote access to healthcare for all Alaskans • Develop communication and support tools for behavioral health providers • Provide technical assistance to ease administrative burden for the provider community and the state • Assist with providing, compiling, and analyzing data • Improve overall access and service outcomes • Account for the unique challenges associated with delivering services to diverse populations with complex needs (e.g., youth, elderly, etc.) • Consider Alaska’s unique geographical and regional complexities • Consider Alaska’s substantial Tribal Health Organizations and intersection with Alaska Medicaid; Service Areas include: 1. Go-Live Readiness Activities 2. Provider Network Development 3. Provider Assistance Line 4. Provider Outreach, Education, and Support 5. Data Management and Reporting 6. Staffing Requirements and Other Terms 7. Travel Requirements
