Specifications include, but are not limited to: “Contractor” shall mean the person, corporation, or partnership performing street sweeping services under contract with the Municipality of Anchorage. The “MOA” shall mean the Deputy Officer of Eagle River Street Maintenance or his authorized representative, in all matters pertaining to the performance of this Contract. “Debris” shall mean all litter, rubbish, leaves, winter sand, dirt, garbage, and other foreign material removable from a paved street and sidewalk with a mechanical/vacuum street sweeper. “May” shall mean permissive.“Shall” shall be mandatory. “Street” shall mean all dedicated public rights-of-way within the Municipality which are paved. The term street shall include other paved areas as directed. “Street Sweeping” shall mean the removal of by mechanical/vacuum street sweepers of all debris from all portions of a street. “Sidewalk Sweeping” shall mean the removal of all debris from all portions of sidewalk areas.“Sweepings” shall mean all debris removed from street and “sidewalks”.“Service area” shall mean the roads and areas within the boundaries of the Chugiak, Birchwood, Eagle River Rural Road Service Area (CBERRRSA).
