Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified contractors to provide winter sand for road maintenance purposes. Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating the pickup of bulk salt bags from the Alaska Garden & Pet Supply Anchorage facility located at: 114 North Orca, Anchorage, AK 99502. There are approximately 635,040 pounds packed in 2,205 pound bags and approximately 825,000 pounds packed in 3,000 pound bags. Alaska Garden & Pet Supply recommends using a flatbed trailer to facilitate loading/unloading of the bag salt. Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating with Alaska Garden & Pet Supply for the delivery of approximately 600,000 pounds of bulk salt packed in containers of approximately 50,000 pounds each.
