Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Mesa intends to enter into an exclusive contract for the services of a qualified, reputable Contractor to be responsible for providing food and beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) catering and concessions at the Mesa Convention Center at defined service levels. The approved Contractor will work closely with the City and/or its agents to constantly endeavor to improve the operation with a view toward developing maximum gross receipts and quality service to our customers and business partners. Mesa Convention Center food and beverage (including liquor) and concession services. Catering services (including, but not limited to breakfasts, morning breaks, lunches, afternoon breaks and dinners, portable bars and concession stands) and both cash and hosted bars, will be provided for meetings, conferences, and other events. In addition, concession services will be provided for consumer shows and events. On occasion, catering services may be provided in the Mesa Amphitheatre and The Post (corporate events, VIP areas, etc.). The Convention Center operations staff will supply and set all tables, chairs and staging for all functions at the facility. Contractor shall provide all linens, napkins, chinaware, silverware, etc., necessary for catered functions. The Contractor is responsible for removal of their equipment and cleaning of tables, and disposal of food and beverage trash to the designated area/receptacles as determined by the City, immediately after catered events. The City shall be responsible for the removal of all tables and chairs after all events or functions at the facility. Contractor shall provide, at no expense to the City, such operating equipment as linens, point of sales systems, including cashless alternatives, chinaware, silverware, cutlery, pots and pans, glassware, cooking utensils and food trays. The Contractor must provide enough table service items (china, glassware, silverware and other items), all of design and quality approved by the General Manager or designee, to accommodate catered functions for up to two-thousand (2,000) people at one time.
