3.1 The IC shall provide all equipment, materials and labor to install a complete turn-key video visitation system. The system must be ready to be installed and fully operational at time of proposal submittal. The qualified system must operate in a Power over Ethernet (POE) environment, not over a separate power source. 3.2 Base system requirements: 3.2.1 Web and personal computer based. 3.2.2 Scheduling capacity for visitation must be available to District Staff, inmates and visitors. Inmates and visitors need to be able to schedule without District staff approval. 3.2.3 Video and audio recording capacity 3.2.4 Must interface with JMS (Hexagon) and Keefe commissary systems. 3.2.5 Customizable for each facility 3.3 The IC shall provide (at their own expense), a separate network (T1) connection to operate the video visitation system. 3.4 The IC shall provide (at their own expense), any additional Cat6E or fiber wiring and or WI-FI needed to run the video visitation system. 3.5 Inmates must receive 60 minutes of free visitation per week that can be scheduled by the inmate. Additional visits are purchased by the inmates at a reasonable rate. 3.6 The system must record both audio and video during all visits with the exception of protected/ privileged visits. 3.7 Recordings must be retained for a minimum of one year. Optional ways to store recordings are encouraged. The district’s preference for VV storage is web based and offsite.
