The specifications for individual projects will be generated based on site specific conditions as a request for bid. B. Groundwater extraction and monitoring wells installed for the COT generally range in depth from one hundred (100) to five hundred (500) feet below land surface; specific depths will depend on the site. The well construction materials may include Type 304 stainless steel, low carbon steel and/or Schedule 40 or 80 PVC. Screened intervals may be machine cut, vee-wire wrapped, louvered, or as specified in the request for bid. The regional groundwater table in the Tucson area varies greatly and can be encountered at depths ranging from approximately 75 feet to 375 feet below surface grade. The type of soils beneath the sites include cobbles, gravels, sands, silts, and clays, some of which may be cemented. Existing well logs are available upon request at the COT Environmental and General Services Department and Tucson Water. C. The COT invites drilling contractors who use one or more of the drilling methods described below to submit their qualifications.
