Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1.Job Orders: Job Order Contracting is an alternative delivery method for public works projects. JOC’s differ from the standard project-specific, low bid contracts in that they are indefinite-quantity, indefinite-delivery contracts that are awarded on the basis of qualifications. Best value may be considered in awarding the JOC or in awarding job orders under the Contract. 1.2.During the term of the JOC, work is performed by way of individual job orders. Each job order, initiated by the County, is defined cooperatively by the County and Contractor. Scope, schedule andpriceare agreed upon in an executed Job Order Proposaland the MSHA/ASMI/ADEQCompliance Checklist, prior to proceeding with the work. 1.3.The County anticipates awarding multiple contracts under this solicitation. Individual job orders will be distributed among contractors by the County at the County’s sole discretion. The County may take into consideration the dollar amount of the project, the Contractors’ available manpower, Contractors’ available resources, Contractor’s expertise and past experience, and/or any other factors the County considers pertinent in order to distribute individual job orders in a manner that will best serve the County’s interests. 1.4.The County will take appropriate care to ensure that the Contractor is controlling cost and labor efficiently, both while reviewing individual Job Order Proposals and when inspecting job sites. Each individual Job Order Proposal shall include a “ceiling price” that the Contractor cannot exceed without prior written approval.1.5.During the term of the JOC, work is performed by way of individual job orders. Scope, schedule, price, and liquidated damages (if applicable) are agreed upon in an executed Job Order Proposal prior to proceeding with the work.
