Specifications include, but are not limited to: Services include, but are not limited to: maintenance, chemical applications and laboratory testing. Preventative Maintenance - The Contactor must maintain the ecology and water maintenance of all waterways. Contractor's monthly price must include: A. Lake and Waterway Testing Contractor must sample and test as follows: 1. Bi-weekly: Contractor will monitor and test the waterways' pH, hardness, alkalinity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, unionized ammonia and golden algae. Positive test results for golden algae must be reported to the site contact and Special Operations Supervisor within 24 hours, including a copy of the lab report. 2. Bi-annually: Contractor will test all metals. All testing must meet with City of Phoenix and AZ Game and Fish (AZGF) policies and procedures. B. Pump and Aeration System Inspection 1. Contractor shall visibly and audibly inspect all equipment and vaults at each visit to a lake area and report any obvious maintenance issues associated with pumps, aerators or compressors to the park representative. Additional Repairs and Services - Lake and Waterway as-needed requests may include: The services and supplies must be pre-approved by the park representative. A. Lake and Waterway Test 1. Additional water tests as requested by park representative. B. Lake and Waterway Treatment 1. The hourly price shall include the following: The treatment of waterways must be evaluated and regulated on an individual basis. Contractor shall contact and work with the Parks site representative to request waterway treatment instructions and determine the best application. The City works with The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGF), Urban Fishing Programs prior to treatment applications, to protect the algae that fish feed on. Contractor shall notify the public of treatment application, by placing signs prior to treatment application. SDS sheets shall be provided to the City on all chemicals prior to treatment application. C. Lake and Waterway Supplies 1. Contractor shall maintain the waterways using the following: White Amur "sterile", Fat Head Minnows, or any other specified fish, as approved by AZGF. Fish usage shall be based on recommendation of City of Phoenix and/or AZGF. Amount used depends on the need of each individual waterway. The City of Phoenix shall maintain the permit for use of these fish. Contractor will be responsible for obtaining stock permits, as required by AZGF for· each application. Prices shall include handling, delivery and all associated stocking fees. The Contractor shall be liable for all costs of re-stocking fish in a lake if its negligent performance of the contract causes or results in a mass fish kill of contract applied fish. Chemicals: Algaecides, herbicides, dyes or other products, as recommended.
