The City of Mesa is seeking a qualified firm to provide design services for wastewater improvements at six (6) lift station sites. The lift station improvements will consist of new pumps and related appurtenances, sulfide-control station (SCS) improvements, and one lift station reconstruction. Design Concept Reports (DCRs) have been completed for each of the sites and can be used for reference to develop any updated technical memorandum, followed by final design. It is anticipated that separate drawing sets for each facility will be created as appropriate. The projects may or may not be packaged together as one construction project. The consultant will perform the final design for each site and produce construction plans and specifications for each. The following is a description of each of the proposed lift stations that will require evaluation and design: 1. Lift Station Site 1: Lift station and integrated sulfide control station improvements. Average and peak buildout flows are 826 gallons per minute (gpm) and 1,310 gpm, respectively. 2. Lift Station Site 2: Lift station improvements. Average and peak flows are 155 gpm and 310 gpm, respectively. 3. Lift Station Site 3: Lift station and integrated sulfide control station improvements. Average and peak buildout flows are 320 gpm and 540 gpm, respectively. 4. Lift Station Site 4: Lift station improvements. Average and peak flows are 30 gpm and 65 gpm, respectively. 5. Lift Station Sites 5 and 6: Lift station improvements include replacing the magnetic flow meters with new ultrasonic flow meters. In addition, new pressure transducers shall be installed and integrated into the City’s SCADA system.
