Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Tempe ("City") is seeking proposals for the securing of commercial and residential buildings during a one (1) year contract period on an as-needed basis. The resulting contracts are subject to renewal for subsequent periods asprovided for within the Special Terms and Conditions section of this Request for Proposal ("RFP"). The awarded Contractors will be responsible for boarding up homes and businesses for the City's Police and FireDepartments. Award of contracts will be made to multiple vendors to provide for maximum availability. Contractors will be used on a rotation basis by each department. The quantity and frequency of work needed will vary and a minimum amount of work cannot be guaranteed by the City. Contractors to be responsible for the following: Ensuring all board-ups are in compliance with the most current United States Fire Administration (USFA) board-up guidelines. (See Exhibit "A") Securing door and window openings with plywood sheets (1/2" minimum thickness), per the USFA board-up guidelines. Obtaining fencing, as-needed, to secure large open spaces or yards. Pricing for fencing shall be cost per lineal footof chain-link fencing. Maintaining current licensing and in good standing with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors
