Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The Services include the removal, replacement repair and/or installation of various water and wastewater system components throughout Bullhead City and Fort Mohave. This work includes water service line installation, water service line repair, water service line replacement, water main line repair, water main line valve replacement, fire hydrant replacement, water line tapping, sewer lateral repair, sewer main line repair, and sewer force main repair. A Class A General Contractor’s license with the State of Arizona must be maintained at all times during the term of any contract. A City business license will be required if not already possessed. B. The City will provide all pipe and related materials necessary to complete each repair. Materials may include but are not limited to pipe, fittings, couplers, clamps, valves, and hydrants. Any materials needed, but not provided by City, and approved by a City representative, will be billed to the City at a rate of not more than 10% above the acquired price. A minimum of one City utilities department staff member will be on-site and designated to operate all valves in the case of a shutdown, provide necessary materials for the repair, provide materials for disinfection, inspect, and approve all completed work. C. The selected Respondents will be responsible to provide all labor, tools and equipment to properly complete the repairs in a timely manner. All materials shall be installed by the Respondent in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation and inspected by City staff. The Respondents selected will be responsible to provide a one sack slurry backfill to the top two feet of the excavation under any City maintained paved street in accordance with Bullhead City Standard Detail 350-1. The backfill beneath the slurry must be mechanically compacted to 95%. In an unpaved roadway or alley soil must be mechanically compacted to 95%. A minimum of 6 inches of ¾ inch minus aggregate base must be added to the finish grade and compacted to 95%. In any right-of-way (ROW) or public utility easement (PUE) outside of a roadway or alley, the soil must be mechanically compacted to a minimum of 85%. Services do not include asphalt replacement.
