Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Provide qualified staff in appropriate numbers to meet the student's special education programmatic needs. The District's Special Education Department shall have the right to review and approve staff with direct student contact. • Comply with all state and federal laws for the provision of special education services and professional procedures and standards of practice. • Be familiar with and follow all federal and state special education procedural guidelines. • Assist and comply with each student's Individual Educational Plan (IEP) to include, but not limited to: attending multi-disciplinary team meetings, developing and implementing IEP goals and objectives, collecting and maintaining student data as needed. • Follow district procedures for school referral process, using state standards and the district curriculum. • Attend mandatory scheduled staff meetings with district personnel as determined by site or district administration. • Conduct appropriate staff training to insure services can be effectively and safely implemented. • Report evaluation results in written form, completed prior to meeting. • Maintain student records that comply with all aspects of the requirements as mandated by federal and state laws and district procedures. • Coordinate services with all providers. • All contracted staff must adhere to district procedures regarding billing for Medicaid reimbursement. If they are not adhering to guidelines, payment on current invoice will be held.
