Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management (DFFM) is seeking Contractors to perform treatments and services specific to forest and natural resource management or other projects on Arizona state trust, federal, or private lands, on an as needed, per request basis. DFFM manages healthy forests, woodlands and other ecosystems through various practices consisting of suppression and prevention of wildfires on Arizona State Trust Lands, Federal and private lands located throughout the state. DFFM is tasked with performing services and treatments that increase forest and watershed health and reduce wildfire risks to communities in Arizona. These general forestry services and treatment types are listed in this RFP. The six primary categories include, but are not limited to: Pre and Post-Treatment Data Collection, Task Order Development and Forestry Operations Management. Timber Sale Preparation Services to include: boundary flagging, boundary posting/painting, boundary remarking, timber marking, timber re-marking, tablet marking, timber cruising, lidar validation and transects, Thinning, Logging, Brush Removal, Slash Management and Other Restoration Activities to Include: Forest Thinning Treatments, Timber Harvesting, Logging, Timber Salvage. Brush and Tree Crushing, Brush and Tree Mastication, Brush and Tree Removal. Other Specific Non-Inclusive Forestry Services and Treatments include, but are not limited to: (1) slash piling, (2) fire line construction, (3) unpaved road maintenance, construction, reconstruction, or obliteration, (4) bulldozer- line construction, (5) trail repair, (6) erosion control, (7) land rehabilitation, (8) herbicide application, (9) native vegetation restoration, planting, seeding, etc.
