PROJECT DESCRIPTION The City of Maricopa (City) seeks a qualified design firm or team (hereafter referred to as “design firm”) with extensive design and construction administration experience with transportation related projects. All qualified firms that are interested in providing these services are invited to submit their Request for Qualifications (RFQ). All RFQ’s must comply with the requirements specified in this Request for Qualifications (RFQ). The City of Maricopa is planning to design and construct a ¾ mile section of arterial roadway and bridge from SR 238 to ¼ mile north of McDavid Road on the Green Road alignment. The initial phase of construction will include the half street roadway construction (2 lanes) and the full width bridge construction (4 lanes) over the existing Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR). The improvements shall include but not be limited to new pavement, new bridge, curb and gutter, sidewalk, streetlights, traffic signals, drainage improvements, and landscaping. There is significant new residential and commercial development being planned along this segment of Green Road which will require coordination with the developers and private property owners. Funding for the design and construction of the project will be with local funds. Anticipated project milestones will be developed to meet the following desired schedule: • Select Design Firm and Finalize Design Services Contract, May 2025 to September 2025 • Detailed Design and Construction Documents, September 2025 to December 2026 • Land Acquisition, February 2026 to February 2027 • Construction Services, April 2027 to April 2028
