Over 60 New Agencies Have Joined Bidnet Direct in the First Quarter of 2023
Bidnet Direct has helped state and local agencies publish their solicitations and connect with more vendors throughout the country. We are not just innovating source-to-contract technology but also building a community. In the first quarter of 2023, we have been joined by more than 60 new local government agencies that have begun utilizing Bidnet Direct as their sourcing platform. As of this writing, there are now more than 1,400 participating agencies on Bidnet Direct.
Participating Agencies by Purchasing Group
Bidnet Direct’s Regional Purchasing Groups are where public sector organizations throughout a state or region electronically post solicitations to a regional supplier network, receive bids, and award contracts in a fully compliant, transparent, and trackable way.
The vendors also register through the purchasing groups. The systemic nature of these purchasing groups allows vendors to easily find agencies’ published solicitations within a certain state.
This quarter more than half of the new participating agencies have already published their first solicitation through their purchasing groups. Also, 16 of the new agencies are from California and we are proud to welcome our first agency in Montana. We are continuously expanding the buyer network to build a stronger community.
Some of the local and state government organizations who are now utilizing Bidnet Direct to help streamline and digitize their purchasing process include:
- Shasta County, CA
- City of Shafter, CA
- City of Glendale Public Works, CO
- Borough of Milltown, NJ
- Greater Peoria Mass Transit District (CityLink), IL
- Town of Guilderland, NY
