PW1010 - Plan Check Services for Impacts on Local Improvements due to HSR

The California High Speed Rail (CSHR) project generally consists of the construction of a dedicated high speed rail corridor and elevating the Burlington Northern Santa Fe’s (BNSF) rail corridor through a series of grade separations. The proposed CHSR corridor and BNSF’s rail alignment are grade separated with underpasses at Fresno Ave, North Shafter Avenue, East Lerdo Highway, Beech Avenue, and a separate grade separation at Cherry Avenue. The proposed improvements also include converting Riverside Street from an at-grade street to an overpass, realigning surface streets impacted by CHSR alignment, and associated work such as signing, striping, traffic signal modifications, street lighting, storm drain, sanitary sewer, water, street reconstruction, bridge structures, curbs, gutters, sidewalks to name a few.
