The City of Tulare is requesting proposals from qualified and interested companies that have the resources to provide an appropriate Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software and support services.
It is the City’s desire to transform current paper/manual processes into a map-centric data-driven service tool designed to receive, track, display and report status of scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and ad-hoc service requests. Sufficient data of all maintenance activities should be collected and stored to enable the data analysis to be conducted to calculate basic cost of services and identify areas of importance based on activity (trend analysis) and forecast anticipated future needs.
The City of Tulare has recently completed the process of mapping citywide water, sewer and storm drain utility assets in GIS using an ERSI enterprise geodatabase. The desire is to have a modern, map-centric functioning CMMS system that integrates tightly with the existing enterprise geodatabase (i.e. when new assets are added to the enterprise geodatabase they automatically show up in the CMMS system.). The primary desire is for the CMMS to provide coverage for the water department activities; however, the possibility exists for this solution to grow to service other maintenance and serviced based operations within the City.
The City of Tulare desires a simple, easy to use, right-sided product that is focused on delivering real world value to a growing city of 70,000 citizens, rather than a large, overly complex solution that is designed to meet all of the possible the needs of organizations that are substantially larger.
