The project will consist of providing Civil/Structural plans with cost estimates and specifications, background investigations and required environmental studies as listed in the approved Caltrans PES form (attached), and subsequent regulatory agency permitting and processing for the proposed project site. The project includes a hydrology study/drainage study per San Bernardino County Flood Control standards to size the bridge/box culvert and extent of channel improvements and transition structures. The plans, specifications and estimates shall conform to the current design standards and guidelines of the City of Yucaipa, San Bernardino County Flood Control, the Specifications for Public Works Construction (SSPWC – Green Book), Caltrans Specifications, and applicable storm water requirements. All environmental work shall be done using industry standards for such work and compatible with subsequent work to obtain environmental and/or regulatory permits and NEPA and CEQA compliance for federal Highway Bridge Program (HBP) funded projects. In addition, the Consultant shall provide technical support, prepare and submit necessary documentation for approval by Caltrans Local Assistance and attend meetings as required for Project plan approval and receive authorization from Caltrans Local Assistance to construct the project. The City will be responsible for all CEQA processing, notices and approvals.
