The Esparto Community Services District is requesting a Statement of Qualifications from professional firms. Engineering services are being sought for development of general plans for replacement of a sewer main and sewer tap reinstatements. The district is asking all firms to add what they believe is necessary, if not stated below, to develop complete plans for submission to the selected contractor.
The Esparto Community Services District (CSD) will be replacing 1,200’ of 6” Vitrified Clay Pipe sewer main. The installation of the new sewer line will be connected to 4 existing sewer manholes. Along with the sewer main replacement there will be a total of 38 4” sewer taps to reinstate services during the project.
The sewer main currently has multiple belly’s/sags throughout which has caused grease to settle on the sewer walls, ultimately causing sewer main blockages and backups. These belly’s/sags have been confirmed through Closed Circuit Television (CCTV).
Expectations of Selected Firm:
- Survey the grade from all 4 sewer manholes to assure there will be an adequate slope to keep a consistent flow throughout the project.
- Provide a set of detailed construction plans for the selected contractor to use for completion of the project.
The project is located in the alley in between Capay Street and Woodland Avenue, and from Omega Street to Antelope Street. The average width of this alley is roughly 16’. Throughout the project area there are existing water mains, water service laterals, along with other utilities to work around.
