Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 The purpose of this SOW is to describe the minimum requirements for modifying a Ford Transit XL van to provide for access and transport of two inmates in wheelchairs utilizing a rear door as an entry/exit for the wheelchair bound inmates. Vendor needs to be no more than 100 miles from Vacaville, CA. 3.2 The vehicle shall be used as a paratransit vehicle providing transport for Two inmate passengers, one custody staff driver, one custody staff front passenger Two wheelchair bound inmates 3.3 The conversion of the vehicle shall not affect the OEM vehicle warranty for components and systems not modified by the awarded Vendor. 3.4 The Vendor may be required to provide documentation to substantiate that the converted vehicle complies with all applicable federal and state rules, laws and regulations including Federal Motor Vehicles Safety Standards in effect at the time of conversion. 3.5 All materials and construction methods employed by the awarded Vendor shall be commercial grade.
