Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project consists of a four story, approximately 82,200 gross square foot student housing facility. This project will be located west of the existing residence halls at the southwest corner of the main campus, in proximity to the Shaw and Cedar Avenue Intersection. This is the first new construction for Fresno State Housing since the late 1960s. This project will provide 228 apartment-style bed spaces which will help to meet the demand for affordable student housing. The project also includes units for students with children. Common spaces include meeting rooms, lounges, study spaces, recreation rooms, and laundry facilities. The building is currently being designed to be a Fully Sprinklered wood framed type V-A construction type with an R-2 / B Occupancy Group. This project is a public works project and is subject to California State prevailing wage rate laws. All contractors and all tiers of subcontractors who will work on this project shall register to bid and work on public works projects with the Dept. of Industrial Relations and maintain current this registration pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
