1. Vendor shall schedule mail to be picked up at the County Mail/Courier Services located at 777 E. Rialto Avenue, San Bernardino, CA at least two or three times per day; with the last pick up time at 1630 hours, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Vendor shall provide a daily report on all mail that is received and delivered daily. Awarded Vendor(s) shall coordinate with the County Mail Services Manager as to the information required in the report. 2. Vendor will process all presort letters and presort flats by affixing intelligent Mail Barcode (IMB) Supplied by the Vendor per United States Postal Service regulations. 3. Vendor shall accept all letter mail products excluding International or non-ZIP Code mail at the Automation Mail rates for one and two ounce mail and Pre-sorted Non-Automation rates for all other products. 4. Vendor will ensure that all vehicles transporting County mail are locked and mail is secured. 5. Vendor will verify addresses on all County mail processed through its facility. All incorrectly addressed mail will be forwarded back to County Mail/Courier Services for further processing. 6. Vendor will ensure that before dispatching mail to the U.S. Postal Service that facility and vehicles are thoroughly screened (floors, in and around machinery, under seats, etc.) to make sure all mail has been dispatched and none missed. 7. Vendor will ensure that, for whatever reason, mail that cannot be processed will be returned to the County Mail/Courier Services on the first service the next business day. 8. Vendor shall process the following bulk mail: standard, first-class presort letters and first-class presort flats. The postage for bulk standard mail will be paid from the County’s bulk account with the USPS. The postage for bulk first-class presort letters and first-class presort flats will be billed to County Mail/Courier Services on a weekly basis.
