Consistent with the need to provide education to workers for navigating the claims and mitigating deficiencies and redundancies. DIR seeks to enter into an agreement with a Contractor that will utilize trained professionals to educate and guide vulnerable claimants through the claim and wage recovery process, including completing all the forms and research needed to resolve the wage claim. The primary work area is providing direct service to workers to resolve wage claims. The Contractor will be referred approximately 50 cases or more a month from the Labor Commissioner’s Office of claimants who need additional support to perfect the claim or otherwise make the claim actionable and maneuver the wage claim and judgment enforcement processes. A perfected or actionable claim is one that includes all potential claims, allegations and names all potentially liable parties and includes the relevant contact information for all parties. The Contractor will be responsible for assisting the claimant in completing all the necessary paperwork and research to successfully resolve their claim. In addition, the Contractor will educate the worker on the process and prepare them to advocate for themselves in this process and other wage disputes in the future.
