Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Foothill-De Anza Community College District recognizes that the traditional college bookstore business is in a transformational period, and it is the intent of the Colleges to be on the cutting-edge of campus retail services. Therefore, the District has initiated this Request for Proposal Process to seek an innovative and proactive partner that is on the cutting-edge of campus retail services to effectively serve De Anza College and Foothill College. The goal of the Colleges is to provide innovative, state-of-the-art Campus Stores that will result in the following: • Improved affordability and access for De Anza and Foothill Students by continuing to reduce course materials costs, providing seamless financial aid transactions, and communicating effectively with Faculty and Students • Efficient and effective transition to an innovative Virtual Course Materials Store • Enhanced exposure of the College brands by increasing sales of De Anza and Foothill emblematic merchandise, both in-store and online • Improved customer satisfaction through cutting-edge retail innovation and utilization of technology • State-of-the-art destination/retail facilities and websites, through enhanced marketing and visual merchandising • Competitive financial contribution to the Colleges, while achieving the qualitative and service goals of the RFP
