Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART) is a government transit agency that owns, maintains, and operates passenger rail service in Sonoma County and Marin County in the State of California. SMART is also a common carrier that owns, operates, and maintains rail freight services within Marin County, Napa County, and Sonoma County.; SMART is seeking Proposals from qualified firms to annually assess SMART’s Admin Network for cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities and provide a comprehensive report itemizing the findings of that assessment.; The SMART Admin Network encompasses the configuration of network equipment necessary to allow for and manage data, voice, and video transmission within and between SMART offices. SMART places high importance on a functioning Admin Network to perform operationally critical activities.; It is SMART’s intention that the evaluation and assessment be completed during the month of October or November each year.; Consultant shall evaluate the structure and function of SMARTs Admin Network including, but not limited to, existing settings on network equipment and on external facing connections, scan existing IP addresses and perform a comprehensive inspection of network infrastructure, host hardware, software vulnerabilities, network design flaws, and device misconfigurations.; Consultant shall provide a comprehensive report itemizing the findings of the network assessment. The report shall highlight any traffic anomalies, suspicious behaviors, discovery of ongoing attacks, data breaches, and any other undesirable network activities and shall identify all present software and hardware vulnerabilities that introduce opportunities for attackers to target the network with malicious intent
