Data Collection and Document Review • Conduct a thorough review of the original SDMP report and collect additional relevant data, if required, including but not limited to: o Hydrological studies o Existing drainage infrastructure assessments o Historical floor and runoff data for the CMD jurisdiction o Recent land use changes in the drainage areas Site Reconnaissance • Conduct a field investigation, if required, to document the existing site conditions, including any pertinent issues and/or concerns, and to verify the conditions described in the original SDMP report. • Identify all drainage improvements made by private property owners between the time of the original SDMP report and the present. Feasibility Analysis • Assess the feasibility of the proposed improvements in the original SDMP report, considering: o Inability of obtaining drainage easements o Possibility of keeping and/or revising the original recommendations based on constraints previously outlined ▪ Effect of drainage improvements made by private property owners (identified during site reconnaissance) must be taken into account ▪ Alternative recommendations if the original recommendations are no longer feasible o Impact on public and private properties and neighboring communities if original recommendations are revised or if the total number of project mitigations is reduced o Technical practicality o Cost-effectiveness o Public engagement o Future maintenance requirements
