The County of San Luis Obispo’s primary goal is to reduce exposure to factors causing Repetitive Motion Injuries (RMIs). Other ergonomic goals include increasing worker productivity, performance and decreasing worker discomfort. The County is seeking to contract with one, qualified ergonomic Contractor to perform preventive ergonomic evaluations; and office equipment-related services. The selected ergonomic Contractor will be expected to develop preventative ergonomic evaluation assessments to identify injury risk factors and develop solutions to reduce injuries. Evaluations should use employee behavioral training, assessment of existing equipment and recommendations for additional office equipment based on the individual and the worksite situation.
