1) Improve access to comprehensive and up-to-date student health records for school nurses and physical and mental health personnel, enabling timely and coordinated care for students; 2) Ensure LAUSD's health records management adheres to HIPAA and FERPA guidelines, safeguarding the privacy and security of student health data; 3) Simplify the documentation of health assessments, immunization compliance, chronic condition management, and other essential health metrics, while supporting mandated reporting requirements at the state and federal levels; 4) Facilitate secure communication and data sharing between LAUSD health services, parents/guardians, and authorized healthcare providers, promoting holistic and proactive health support for students; 5) Equip LAUSD health administrators with robust analytics and reporting tools to monitor health trends, identify emerging needs, and drive data-informed policy and programming decisions for student wellness.
