The City of La Mesa’s Human Resources Division is soliciting proposal packets from professional and highly qualified benefit brokerages and/or consulting firms that are experienced and qualified to provide a full range of services related to the enhancement, design, implementation, analysis, maintenance and improvement of our employee insurance benefits program. Current benefit programs include dental, vision, life and accidental death and dismemberment, flexible spending, COBRA administration, and ancillary benefits for employees and their dependents including an employee assistance program, and voluntary insurance programs for additional life, AD&D, critical illness, pet insurance, and legal services. The City contracts medical plans through the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS). We are seeking a proactive broker/consultant to be our partner in continuing to develop the City of La Mesa’s Employee Benefits Program and who will provide exceptional employee benefits services. Brokers/consultants who possess experience working with municipalities that have diverse employee populations are highly desired.
