The Project’s proposed permanent right-of-way acquisition requiring the displacement of several large businesses in Vernon and the demolition of multimillion dollar structures exposing the City to the loss of property and sales taxes, and other revenue sources generated from these operations; The permanent traffic impacts caused by the proposed realignment of 26th Street The possibility of increased freight activity on 46th Street crossing Pacific Blvd Impacts on existing freight rail operations which could in turn adversely impact the City’s traffic transportation system; Construction impacts, including staging plans, traffic detour plans, and utility relocations; Coordination with other significant regional improvement projects in or around the City of Vernon.
