1. Work in collaboration with designated CalSTRS staff to fully understand the role and responsibilities of the vacant position(s), develop a comprehensive candidate profile, and develop a search timeline. 2. Using the candidate profile, the contractor will conduct a thorough search to identify a diverse pool of the most highly-qualified candidates that meet the requirements of the desired position(s). 3. Perform candidate screening, background verifications, and reference checks to verify qualifications, competency, and reputation and minimize risk of referring unsuitable candidates. 4. Confer with the designated CalSTRS staff to provide a presentation that shall include a review and priority recommendation of the preliminary candidate group. 5. Conduct face-to-face, telephone or other alternate mode interviews with priority candidates and prepare written, in-depth profiles on the candidates referred for consideration. 6. Present a semi-finalist candidate group for preliminary interviews, in accordance with agreed upon timeframes. Refer three (3) to five (5) highly-qualified candidates for finalist interviews after review of semi-finalist group. 7. Provide comprehensive employment information on each finalist candidate. 8. Provide advice and counsel to candidates and to CalSTRS staff throughout the process to ensure that successful candidates, who are willing to accept the position, emerge from the group of highly-qualified professionals identified for consideration.
