A. Purpose and Description of Services The purpose of this IFB is to obtain ongoing monitoring and repair services for the fire alarm systems at the California Exposition and State Fair (Cal Expo) facilities, located at 1600 Exposition Boulevard in Sacramento, the site of the annual California State Fair. The current system is a Gamewell designed system, with a 710 Central System – and is comprised of approximately 100 devices on nine (9) nodes located in various buildings around the facility. Each node reports to a central station through a fiber optic network. Current programming allows a fire alarm to be reported even though all devices in a node have been put on disregard during system maintenance functions. System programming requires reviewing and modification to allow isolation of any individual node from reporting an alarm, and displacing fire department resources, when devices are put in “test” or “disregard”. C. Fire Alarm Monitoring • Contractor shall provide 24 hour per day, 7 days per week monitoring and dispatching for fire alarm systems. • Contractor shall maintain call down lists for each facility and perform call downs on receipt of the alarm. The list shall be updated at the request of Cal Expo. • Contractor shall reprogram all nine (9) nodes and the central station as needed to allow isolation of any node for test or disregard purpose. • Contractor shall provide alarm reports including, but not limited to alarm or trouble history, open/close reports, etc. • Contractor shall provide e-mail notification of system alarms or troubles to Cal Expo’s maintenance staff as they happen on a 24/7 basis. D. Servicing and Repairs • Contractor shall provide as-needed repairs, modifications or extensions to the existing Gamewell network for all nodes throughout the Cal Expo grounds. Contractor shall provide 24 hour per day, 7 days per week as needed repair services for Cal Expo’s fire alarm systems. E.
