• Perform pre-test visually inspect of HVAC and ductwork installation • Ensure duct system is clean and leakage is minimized • Ensure air outlets and air vents are installed, connected, and working properly • Ensure filters are in place and the fans are rotating accurately • Verify control systems and equipment are operable and safe • Verify volume dampers and fire dampers are in place, working, and open • Ensure access doors are closed • Report immediately of any defects or deficiencies, abnormal conditions, and design reasons which prevent system balancing • Pre-test all components with the IWL Site Supervisor, prior to balancing services • Provide instruments required for testing, adjusting, and balancing operations • Ensure instruments are available IWL Site Supervisor for spot checks during testing • Record all data observed and measured • Permanently mark new set points of valves, dampers, and other adjustable devices after adjustments are completed • Verify equipment and components are interlocked properly with other systems as indicated on the drawings or specifications • Provide final Air Balance Report documents, operation, and maintenance data as defined in the specifications
