Specifications include, but are not limited to: Design Services for Historic Fresno Station Seismic and Accessibility Renovations. The Consultant’s Work will generally consist of investigating the existing structures and creating a design to bring them into compliance with relevant regulations consistent with the recommendations provided by the California Division of the State Architect’s reports for seismic, life safety, and accessibility. The Consultant will then provide support services to the Authority both during the procurement of a Construction Contractor to complete the work, and during the course of construction. As set forth more fully in the sample Agreement located in Attachment D (Exhibit A, including Section 2 thereof) the successful Offeror will perform the following, among other Work: • Accessibility: Investigate, analyze, and prepare construction documents that identify all work required to bring the building into compliance with federal, State, and local regulatory requirements for accessibility and life safety based on their current uses as public employee office space, business, and storage. • Structural: Perform the seismic retrofit evaluation and design for retrofitting the Project Site according to all applicable codes and requirements. • Historic Preservation: Provide designs that rehabilitate and preserve facilities in accordance with applicable federal and State standards, requirements, codes and acts. Consultant shall provide designs that maintain facilities in accordance with the preservation intent and regulatory requirements.
