Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful respondent(s) will provide homework support for District students after their regular school day at the Center’s location as follows: 1. The Center shall be available to any District student seeking educational help and is available on a voluntary basis. The Center is not a substitute for the students’ educational needs, but rather a place they may voluntarily seek additional help and support. The Center is expected to provide a minimum of 468 hours of service (calculated at 156 days, 3 hours per day). 2. Student will not be charged for attendance at the Respondent’s Center, or for any educational help. 3. The Respondent and its staff shall identify at-risk students and cooperate with the District to offer additional help and encouragement to these students. 4. The Center will have help available for all core courses of education, to include, but not limited to, reading, writing, arithmetic, science and technology, which shall include the availability of computers with printers. 5. The Center will provide sufficient staff of volunteers to meet the educational support needed to meet the demand of District students requesting help. The Center is required to provide a positive learning atmosphere to encourage students to learn and reinforce their educational skills and strategies. 6. The purpose of the Center shall be to assist students to meet promotional standards when given additional opportunities and support strategies outside the school classroom. 7. The Center will inform the District immediately of any change of address. 8. All Center activities under the contract will be performed after regular school hours, Monday through Thursday, 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. 9. The Center will provide all staffing, equipment and supplies needed to assist District students. 10. The Center will collaborate with the District in marketing to parents and students the available homework support and educational services offered by the Center. Such marketing may consist of, but not limited to, letters and/or flyers to parents distributed through their students’ schools or through the mail; notices in newspapers, newsletters, bulletins boards; social media marketing, etc.; posters and announcements at the Center’s location(s); scheduled special events held at the Center’s location(s); and other methods of recruiting students and informing parents and the community of the Center’s services
