1. Contractor to remove all existing caulking/sealant from walls, ceilings and from kitchen equipment listed above. Work area is approximately 1800 linear feet in size. 2. Contractor to purchase and provide FDA commercial kitchen, certified food zone caulking (Commercial Kitchen 100% silicone DAP). Caulking/sealant shall be waterproof, mildew resistant and have the ability to withstand extreme temperatures. 3. Caulking/sealant shall be silver in color. Some areas may require clear and white color caulking. Contract manager to approve all caulking/sealant prior to purchasing. Clear and White caulking shall be DAP Commercial Kitchen 100% silicone. 4. Contractor to clean all surfaces before applying caulking/sealant. 5. Contractor to clean all surfaces after application of caulking/sealant 6. For good adhesion, apply the caulk in a continuous bead along the joint or gap you are sealing. Avoid starting and stopping, as this can create uneven beads and gaps in the caulking. 7. Contractor to leave all work areas in a clean, dust-free, safe condition including sweeping and mopping of the floors. Contractor shall clear kitchen of all dust barriers, trash and debris prior to 4:00am daily. Kitchen staff arrive at 4:00am each day to start first work shift. 8. Contractor shall supply and post the following signage: CAUTION Do Not Touch Caulking/Sealant. 9. Contractor to haul away all demo material and construction debris from the construction site daily. 10. Calvet to provide the contractor with a staging area for equipment and materials. 11. Contractor to attend pre-construction meeting with Contract Manager. 12. Contractor shall provide Contract Manager with construction schedule and construction progress reports. 13. Upon project completion, the contractor and Contract Manager shall conduct a final inspection. A punch list of items that need correction along with a schedule when items will be completed shall be provided to the Contract Manager. 14. Any work that does not meet Calvet workmanship standards, will need to be removed and recaulked. 15. All work to be completed in a journeyman level and shall comply with OSHA and California Building Code requirements.
