The intent of this contract is to secure services for the glyphosate (Roundup) herbicide application to non-native invasive weeds within designated areas planted within the Lake Fire, Sawmill Campground and the Sawmill Liebre Reforestation Project contract area on Forest Service land in the County of Los Angeles within the Angeles National Forest. It is estimated only 30% of the 626 acres of plantations or 194 acres need treatment.
Contractor Responsibility: The Contractor shall provide everything—including, but not limited to, all equipment, supplies, transportation, labor and supervision—necessary to complete the project, except for that which the contract clearly states is to be furnished by the Government.
Before work may begin the Contractor shall designate, in writing, at least one person on site with authority to act in case of the Contractor’s absence from the work site. The Contractor will shall list the extent of authority this representative will have on the job. The Contractor or authorized representative shall be on the project area whenever work is in progress and shall act as a non-working supervisor. In absence of the Contractor, this authorized representative shall receive and orders and instruction from the Contracting Officer and shall take action as is required to keep the job in progress under the terms of the contract. The Contractor and authorized representative(s) shall have an oral command of both the English language and the language common to the crew(s).
