The County of Stanislaus (County) is seeking qualified and experienced Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) who can add value to the County’s security efforts for the County’s Information Technology Central (ITC) department located at 801 11th Street, 4th Floor, Modesto, CA 95354. The County provides services to approximately 551,430 residents of the County with its 5,000 employees across 27 departments. The County offers a wide range of services across these departments, some of which operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (24/7/365). These departmental services include processing public payments and financial information, as well as managing highly sensitive data governed by Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Criminal Justice Information (CJI), and local election compliance regulations. The County’s technology infrastructure is distributed across multiple county information technology departments, utilizing a combination of on-premises and cloud-based solutions. The purpose of this Request For Proposal (RFP) is to acquire a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP), or a Security Operations Center as a Service (SOC-as-a-Service) to complement the current County resources, aid the County in protecting its digital assets, digesting log information to enhance analysis and reporting, and alert technical stakeholders to potential intrusion attempts.
