The County of Riverside Purchasing & Fleet Services Department, on behalf of the Executive Office, is soliciting proposals from qualified parties qualified in providing traditional and social media monitoring services, including alerts, analytics and reports. The County of Riverside’s Executive Office Communications team continuously strive to enhance communications efforts to reach Riverside County residents, visitors and business operators to share timely, relevant and actionable information on county government services and programs. A media monitoring service is crucial to such an effort. County communications professionals and public information practitioners rely on real-time, on-demand media monitoring services to manage information, respond to trends and rumors, track media coverage and proactively develop media pitches. The County of Riverside seeks reliable, comprehensive services to (1) monitor and track all local, regional, state, national and international traditional media coverage (i.e., print, broadcast TV, broadcast radio, streaming news, and online) in real-time; (2) to provide reports on news related to County of Riverside to effectively inform leadership and staff of relevant coverage and the success of media relations efforts and marketing and communications campaigns; (3) to monitor publicly accessible social media platforms for trends, rumors and conversations pertinent to county government; and (4) provide reporting analytics on both traditional and social media coverage. Contractor must offer an overall inclusive plan, with flexibility as far as add-on services and quantity of authorized users of the service.
