This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, using Streamlined Procedures for Commercial Products or Commercial Services according IAW FAR 12.603, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation requesting proposals and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility San Diego Detachment (DMF) located on Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI), has a need for leased portable demineralizer (DI) water systems. DMF requires one DI system at all times, fully operational and ready for use, with a second DI system available within 24-hours’ notice. The number of DI water systems needed during a one-year period of performance fluctuates depending on the amount of work performed at the detachment. Regeneration is the process or maintenance on the demineralizer system that the company performs to exhaust its resin to restore it to proper ionic form to process water again, previous requirements allotted up to 30 regenerations per contract year, but due to an increas in need, this requirment has increased as well. This is a commercial solicitation with the provisions and clauses set forth in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, using FAR Part 13 procedures, and according to the guidelines within this solicitation.
The Government intends to award a 5-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for commercial portable demineralizer water system services with firm fixed priced task orders being issued.

The estimated period of performance (POP) is 11/16/24 – 11/15/29
