Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Have the ability to translate complex regulatory information into digestible format. 2) Maintain and conduct a concise, focused outreach and education campaign that reaches the target audiences, including but not limited to, growers, homeowners, and elected officials. 3) Provide in-house public affairs/elected official outreach, as these items must be addressed very quickly by knowledgeable staff. 4) Consult and advise the CPDPD and the Citrus Pest and Disease Prevention Committee (CPDPC) Outreach Subcommittee of target audience revisions based on movement of ACP/HLB infestations, new technologies, or new citrus pests or diseases. 5) Provide information on how the industry assessment and federal funds have been used and inform growers of advances and discoveries attributed to funded grower activities. 6) Work collaboratively with the Statewide Grower Liaison Coordinator and the Grower Liaisons to develop a campaign to encourage grower participation in the area-wide treatment program. 7) Develop statewide messaging to encourage homeowner acceptance and cooperation with survey and treatment crews. 8) Participating in select public/homeowner events in areas where urban support of treatments is critical. 9) Provide in-house media buying to facilitate timely advertisements. 10)Develop localized messaging to address emergent issues that may adversely impact the program, such as human or environmental health and safety.
