Specifications include, but are not limited to: The awarded applicant will be expected to provide parenting and family support strategies to prevent severe behavioral, emotional, and developmental problems in children by enhancing the knowledge, skills, and confidence of parents. The awarded applicant shall provide courses and training programs for parents to increase their awareness of and confidence in addressing potential mental health challenges of their children. Deliver parenting classes and coaching for parents facing specific challenges, especially families who have experienced or are experiencing trauma. Utilize social media, technology, in home visits, and other outreach strategies to bring parenting supports to the families that need them, rather than necessitating that families seek services. The awarded applicant will need to foster a network of support among parents and families to prevent isolation, increase social connection, and promote resiliency in families. Provide referrals and linkage to treatment and/or appropriate community resources. Ensure parents know how and where to seek help when needed.
