The City of Hermosa Beach is seeking qualified providers to conduct pre-employment medical exams, recurring medical exams, and workers’ compensation medical services for our non-safety and safety personnel. The service providers must screen applicants and employees to properly evaluate and determine whether the physical capabilities and work-related safety requirements of the job, as well as the essential job functions, can be performed by an individual. Interested contractors must be familiar with requirements for Police Public Safety Personnel, such as the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). Service provider must also deliver medical treatment for industrial injuries in accordance with California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) MTUS/ACOEM guidelines. Service provider will abide by California DIR DWC Official Medical Fee Schedule (OMFS) when invoicing for medical services rendered during treatment of industrial injuries. Currently, non-safety and POST pre-employment exams and recurring and wellness exams are conducted by one vendor.
