Specifications include, but are not limited to: Graphic Design The qualified graphic design consultant(s) will support projects designed to enhance DSRSD’s branding and improve customer communication. Typical work may include, but is not limited to: • Print Assets: A qualified graphic design consultant may create printed materials such as flyers, brochures, utility bill inserts, posters, postcards / mailers, door hangers, and large documents (e.g., annual reports). DSRSD anticipates generating print asset projects consistently throughout the contract term. • Digital Assets: A qualified graphic design consultant may create digital assets such as Zoom backgrounds, digital advertisements, PowerPoint presentation templates, and social media / website assets. DSRSD anticipates generating digital asset projects consistently throughout the contract term. • Custom Illustrations: A qualified graphic design consultant may create charts, diagrams, and infographics explaining complex topics. DSRSD anticipates generating custom illustration projects once or twice a year. • Environmental Assets: A qualified graphic design consultant may create signage for DSRSD facilities and custom vehicle wraps. DSRSD anticipates generating environmental asset projects once a year or every other year. Photography The qualified photography consultant(s) may take images that will be used widely across DSRSD’s print and digital campaign materials. Typical work may include, but is not limited to: • Staff Action Shots: DSRSD employs staff who work across a wide variety of technical fields and locations. Examples include laboratory scientists, engineers, mechanics, electricians, field operators, and wastewater treatment plant operators. A qualified photography consultant may shadow employees at work and in the field. DSRSD anticipates scheduling staff action shot sessions with a qualified consultant once or twice a year. • Portrait Photography: A qualified photography consultant may take professional staff headshots and posed group staff photos. DSRSD anticipates scheduling a portrait photography session with a qualified consultant once a year. • Industrial Photography: A qualified photography consultant may take images of DSRSD facilities such as laboratories, wastewater treatment plants, water storage tanks, and pump stations. DSRSD anticipates scheduling an industrial photography session with a qualified consultant once a year during late winter or early spring. • City Photography: A qualified photography consultant may take images of the natural landscape and recognizable landmarks throughout Dublin, San Ramon, and Pleasanton. DSRSD anticipates scheduling a city photography session with its chosen consultant once a year during late winter or early spring. • Construction Photography: A qualified photography consultant may take photos at active construction sites. This work may require the photographer to stand in public streets, wear DSRSD-provided personal protective equipment, and follow DSRSD’s safety procedures. The number of these sessions will vary each year depending on construction schedules. However, they will always occur during the summer or fall. Video Production The qualified video production consultant(s) may work on both long-form and short-form videos. Long-form videos will be uploaded to YouTube, featured on the DSRSD website, and used in digital advertisements. Short-form videos will be used for social media content. Videos may include public service announcements, explainer videos, staff interviews, behindthe-scenes tours, and construction updates. Consultants submitting qualifications for video production services must be able to perform all of the following capabilities: • Script Assistance: A qualified video production consultant may be asked to assist DSRSD’s in-house Public Affairs team with scripts for long-form videos. • Cinematography: A qualified video production consultant may be asked to capture footage in a variety of settings, including industrial facilities, laboratories, office buildings, outdoors, and active construction sites. All cinematography work will be on-site in DSRSD’s service area. • Video Editing: A qualified video production consultant may be asked to edit video footage that they have captured as well as raw footage or content provided by DSRSD’s in-house Public Affairs team. • (Optional) Animation & Voiceovers: Animation and voiceover capabilities are not a requirement of this RFQ but should be included in the proposal if applicable.
