Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of work for Sage Hall and Design and Media Arts(DMA) Projects include the demolition of a 3-Story Sage Hall and a connecting Bridge. Construction of a new LEED Certified 3-Story DMA building, 89,445 GS; Consisting of classroom, laboratory, faculty offices, exhibition, and supporting spaces including infrastructure work and new fire lane. The Scope of work for Theater Demolition, New Exterior North Wall – Magnolia Hall, and Hardscape/Landscape– North side of Magnolia Hall Projects will include demolishing the Grand Theater building in its entirety. The existing foundation is to be cut and removed down to 3’-0” below grade. The existing foundation 3’-0” below grade is to remain. The excavated area will be filled and a new fenced in plaza area with landscaping and ground cover will be added. The exposed north and east walls will be enclosed with a new exterior wall system consisting of exterior stucco finish and curtain wall system. The existing fire riser will remain and will be enclosed with new exterior walls and a roof. The south wall of the Grand Theater is separated from the remainder of the building by a 9” seismic separation joint. Careful demolition of the south exterior wall is necessary so as not to impact the existing adjacent building, which will remain protected-in-place. Shoring will be required to support the existing foundation systems.
